What is "creativity"?
The dictionary definition of creativity is ‘The use of the imagination or original ideas, esp. in the production of an artistic work’.
So what can we do to be creative? Well when exploring this idea we played a game called ‘consequences’ where as a group we came up with sentience’s for each individual. I ended up with the sentence ‘The Amazing bed skipped the sparkling tampon’. This game could be both considered creative and non creative. On the one hand we came up with all of the words ourselves, however random they are, but this could also be seen as random ideas rather than an actual creativity. This is a visual representation of it:

Once we had defined and looked at the meaning of creativity we were set the task of going away and creating something creative ourselves.
This is what I came up with:

Using Pink Floyd’s ‘The wall’ as inspiration I constructed this picture. Firstly I found a old picture from the 1980’s when the album was first released, and the once printing this out I painted over it to enhance the colours and give it my own personalised touch to it. Once this step was done I then preceded to writing words that represent what the original album was trying to put forth in its message. Using words such as ‘Hate’, ‘War’ and ‘Alone’ I gained my desired effect. The importance of creating this piece of art was that it helped me to understand that creativity did not have to come from nowhere but instead can come from inspiration of others work.

Now that I have taken the time to explore the meaning of ‘creativity’ I have come to my own conclusion of its true meaning. To me the word ‘creativity’ mean to take an idea, original or inspired, and to expand on that idea in a way so that you end up with a new and original product at the end, weather that be a piece of art or a song.

skills is a form of skill

1.The ability to do something well; expertise, for example difficult work, taking great skill

2.A particular ability, for example the basic skills of cooking

The word skill, to me, means the ability to do or use something to a high standard. This can be related to media by having cretin skills in different areas, such as camera skills, editing skills, group communication skills and directing skills.
